Being Punctual and on time for interview is the most important thing. One big disappointment is being late on your interview day. Whatever the reason or excuses you throw, it will not work in your favor, be it the genuine one and nobody will buy that. Even if sometimes you have a valid reasons to present like unexpected conditions Traffic, Late trains, Road conditions, family emergency whatever have caused the problem, the interviewer may tend not to look beyond the basic fact that you are late on your interview day. He is likely to have a busy schedule, and any lateness could disrupt his schedule.  Arrive on time, it is best to plan arrive close to the location of the perspective employer with some time in hand. Try to the route beforehand and find any local coffee shops in which you may be able wait if necessary and prepare yourself for the interview. However don’t allow so much time that you start to worry. Arrive at reception half n hour prior so that you can submit your initial formalities on time. Last minute rush will make you agitated and stressed in return you may not be able to present yourself as well in the interview.

Handshake, Shake Hand, Deal, Contract, Hands, Shake

Good Handshake

Greeting the interviewer is very important, as said first impression is the last impression. When meeting people it is customary to shake hands and greet each other. A handshake tells a lot about the person. A Limp handshake by a clammy hand will not impress. A firm handshake gives a far better impression.  it is very normal to be nervous before the interview, and this may result in a sweaty hands, so carry extra handkerchief to wipe your hands before entering the interview room.

Remembering Names

Unfortunately it is always difficult to remember people’s names when being introduced and meeting new people because all focus is on initial meeting and interview questions. Make sure you confirm the Interviewers name prior coming for the interview. So that you can address them while giving your interview and can grab their attention to crack the conversation, Keep repeating the names during the conversation it’s really helpful.  As names are important, remembering the interviewers name will be seen as a very positive note. For example one could say something like “Thank you for giving me your time Mr. XYZ.” Or something else that may be appropriate. This also helps fix the name of the person in your memory.
