Mulshi : Monsoon Ride after Lockdown

Mulshi : Monsoon Ride after Lockdown

Monsoon is here and being a Mumbaikar we have another level of obsession over monsoons. Short rides over hills, those long drives, hot piping Bhutta's, Maggie and relish "Cutting Chai" living in a state of contentment complete justice to monsoons. Being
home quarantine for almost 6 months since March 2020 we got an opportunity to go for a short ride after the lockdown lifted.

We planned for Mulshi via NH - 48 which is 171 km from Navi Mumbai.
We left early morning by 6AM and gathered at Kalamboli near McD waiting for a couple of our friends joining us for the ride. We had our breakfast meanwhile, no not in Mc Donalds but down and outside at the streets; homemade hot flavor full and filling "Pooranpolis" freshly cooked food; just loved this early morning grazing, unusual just like our childhood days "Ghar ka Dabba" favorites that we absolutely loved as kids.

After crossing the city as we can witness Lashing rains and a beautiful chilly weather floating clouds were pure monsoon joy; treat to your eyes.

Encountered multiple waterfalls and Lakes en route to Mulshi remarkable to witness these during monsoons. Those luscious ghats were perfect for rides; wondrous delight in the store for rider fellas.

As it was raining heavily throughout the journey and due to prolonged exposure to the rains and that too mountainous region accompanied by shivering and chills due to drop in the temperature, situation became miserable and we were exhausted and hell tired; just wanted to rush towards our room and snuggle under the blanket, but soon our assumptions turned out the other way. We reached at the venue and were surprised as we already did the prior booking for our stay at this hotel, which proves to be horrendous, not as per the standard and expectation as shown in the pic earlier. We instantly decided to move from this place and started looking for other options. It was quite challenging to hunt for another place at that point in time mainly because many hotels were temporarily closed or not functioning due to Pandemic. But thankfully we were lucky enough to get one nearby sober place to stay for the night; "rest in-breath moment for us"This place was decent enough with a beautiful landscape view and service was also good exactly how we wished for.

We all got freshened up and were almost ready to embrace the night starting with some local mouth-watering cuisines fine Wine n laughter,
swayed on favorite numbers which were absolutely wild and noisy, and ending up with scary abnormal ghosts stories to keep you up all night. Simply seeking some fun after months of quarantine.

The next morning we all left in the afternoon after a heavy breakfast and started off from there. This time again we stopped at multiple spots for a short break as we cannot resist clicking some beautiful picturesque locations of gushing waterfalls and overflowing Lakes.

Damp breeze in your hair and hot Maggie with Garam Chai perfect monsoon delight.

While going home we took another route this time as suggested by one of our friend which alas happened to be the wicked way. The roads were so bad (old NH17) due to rains; such poor conditions, its was toll on commuters on rough roads just pure evil way and tortures for pillions.

We all got tired due to the bad stretch and the encounter was not pleasing at all, but what's the fun if everything goes well right; Leave some space for adventure and surprises too. After hell, lots of cribbing, cursing a friend, and laughter we still made it. Being on a journey it is better to gear oneself up for unexpected happenings and things to remember.

Thank You for Reading... Stay Tuned for upcoming blogs 😋😋

Hidden Gem: Guptar Ghat

Hidden Gem: Guptar Ghat   Recently we had planned to visit at my mom’s place in Uttar Pradesh which is near Ayodhaya yes Awadhpuri   Ram Nagari Ayodhaya . It had almost been a week and we were locked up in our home as we had to attend some family affairs, so we finally decided to break the shackles and escape.   We wished to explore some unseen places this time as suggested by my sister-in-law; sounds like a plan treat for a person like me who loves to travel around. Straightaway we planned for Faizabad which comes under  Ayodhaya district now; previously Ayodhaya town used to come in  Faizabad district but now it’s exactly the opposite. Such a beautiful city with so many things to offer, a blend of growing boomtown and spiritual committed place.   The beautiful  rustic charm of   Chowks and Makbara built in the pre-partition era remains an eye candy for visitors.   A place that is built by sensitivity and natural environme...

15 Days Mumbai to Leh Ladakh-Road Trip  An  astonishing road trip to Leh Ladakh in India. I'll try to cover every aspect – logbook, accommodation, pad, driving – of planning a memorable Ladakh road trip.   Part 2 & 3 COMING SOON! Ladakh is a land with rich culture and deep Buddhist history. Monks and hermitages form a large part of its identity and are a great influence on the community. As we make our way to Leh Ladakh, serried meadows, apple manors, and bounties of nature give way to beautiful terrains cheer up by the shining sun. The endless barren trails of mountains dot the terrain and that’s when you know you’ve arrived in one of the most spectacular places on the Earth!! A road trip to Ladakh isn't a child's play-it's feat stuff of dreams. The harsh climate scrapes, the off-roading, landslides, zero network connectivity, and mountain sickness on this no man’s land with limited food to survive are some of the challenges one has to be ...

Motherhood Journey: My Next Big Obsession

Motherhood Journey: My Next Big Obsession MrsSparklingEyes:Instagram My journey to motherhood has been filled with a range of emotions. From the moment I found out I was pregnant to the moment I saw my newborn baby.  #Motherhood There’s ain't no hood like motherhood. MrsSparklingEyes:Instagram My life was forever changed on August 19, 2022 . I recently became a mother after giving birth to a baby boy. His first cry, his first sight, and the hug we shared later were all rewarding. There are no words strong enough to describe the emotion I felt the day after holding my baby in my arms for the first time. I was aware that I was holding a star; it was love at first sight. In fact, I was intently watching him from a distance while they were cleaning him, and there was immense joy and relief in bringing him safely into this world. That feeling will stay with me for the rest of my life. I fell completely in love with my baby immediately after birth. I was in the happiest ...
