Agrotourism is a form of rural tourism, the experience of staying on a farm allows visitors to rediscover the traditions lost in many societies, by experiencing the rhythms of rural life, the value and taste of the fresh organic and delicious local home-cooked meal, Village rural lifestyles, exploring beautiful landscapes, adventure activities and get to know the local people closely, all about their culture, and history. Visiting cultivated farms also gets you involved in on-going farming activities. 

As compared to mass tourism, agro-tourism offers a great alternative if you yearn for release and willing to dwell in Nature. Agrotourism's aim is to connect individuals and small groups with the traditional rural life and experiences;  it is a blend of Rural and Urban culture.

Rather occasionally planning your trip in a luxury resort and expensive hotels with your family or closed one's, try giving a shot to agro-tourism once in a while especially for kids and the younger generation. Let the future generation learn the activities involved in farming and heritage; giving more value to agronomics and learning crofting rather than spoiling them with trending gadgets, wasting time over social media, and virtual reality.

Experiencing the hand in hand example of farming activities. This will help the coming generations to upgrade their knowledge for particular farming, agricultural activities, educating them about waste management and a healthy lifestyle too. It will give a brief knowledge about several processes of human efforts behind the food served on a plate. Learning the whole process and awareness will not only make them better humans but will also change their whole perspective about the value of food and wastage.

Agrotourism also helps to improve income for families surviving on subsistence farming; preparing villagers for creating an alternative source for earning and sustaining their heritages. Imagine your vacation expenses turned out to finance educationally to many unprivileged kids and creating multiple job opportunities for the needy ones. Moreover, it brings different people and culture together during agricultural activities like a tourist interactions, and many more things to familiarize oneself with.

Show some small admiration for the family of farmers lets invest in our farmers; multiple economical and environmental reasons for supporting them.  The more respect farming gets as a profession, the more young people will be drawn to the field; let's lend a hand and do our bit...
